Botanical Monoprints

A monoprint is a form of printmaking in which an image is made from a smooth surface or 'plate', such as a sheet of glass, metal or gelatin, that is coated in printing ink or paint.  In contrast with other printing techniques only one final, unique (pulled print) is made.

I use acrylic paints and plants from the area where I live. Some I know what they are, others I have no idea.

I'm sure some are just weeds that are pretty and have interesting shape to me.

Here are some of my acrylic botanical monoprints. All images are copyrighted and the intellectual property of Ronda Whitaker.
